UNIVERSITY OF LIMERICK meet University of Galway this evening at 7:30pm in the Higher Education Division One Football League Final at Maguire Field, UL. Both sides will be aiming to use this evening's league final as preparation for the Sigerson Cup after Christmas.
Former Tipperary senior football manager David Power has replaced Declan Brouder as manager of the University of Limerick senior footballers. Limerick senior footballer Andrew Meade is part of the UL side, while the Castletroy side also have Clare senior footballer Brian McNamara, Mayo senior footballers, Cian McHale, Conal Dawson and Frank Irwin in their ranks.

Last week, the Limerick college defeated Ulster University 0-15 to 0-13 in the league semi-final. Their opponents the University of Galway got the better of UCD 1-14 to 2-8 in the other league semi-final.
Young footballer of the year nominee Matthew Thompson and Cillian Ó Curraoin are key players in attack for the Galway college.
