Limerick man plays key role in  Tipperary club winning Senior Football Championship

LIMERICK strength and conditioning senior hurling coach Adrian O'Brien played a key role in Clonmel Commercials winning the Tipperary Senior Football Championship last weekend. 

O'Brien has been working as the strength and conditioning coach with Clonmel Commercials this year. Clonmel Commercials produced an impressive performance to defeat Kilsheelan-Kilcash 1-26 to 1-5 in FBD Semple Stadium, Thurles last Saturday.

The south Tipperary club have now won their twenty second SFC title and are now top of the roll of honour in Tipperary. It was an emotional evening for Clonmel Commercials last weekend as they paid tribute to former county manager Philly Ryan who sadly passed away on October 18.

Adrian O'Brien replaced Cairbre Ó'Cairealláin as the  strength an conditioning coach with the Limerick senior hurlers this year. Adrian is father of current Limerick senior hurler Shane O'Brien.

O'Brien previously Limerick football S&C coach under Billy Lee. He previously worked with the Tipperary senior footballers and Cork club hurling side St Finbarr's. The Kilmallock native was also involved with the Clare senior hurlers during the 2022/23 season.

The Tipperary champions will now play St Finbarr's in the Munster Senior Football Championship quarter-final on Saturday at 1:30pm with the winners facing Éire Óg of Clare in the Munster sem-final.
