THE LIMERICK senior footballers will play Westmeath, Antrim and London in Group Three of the Tailteann Cup after the draw was made for the competition this afternoon.
Limerick begin their Tailteann Cup campaign at home next weekend against London. The Shannonsiders will then travel to Antrim one week later on May 17/18. Jimmy Lee's side then finish off their group campaign against Westmeath on May 31/June 1.
Limerick's place in the Tailteann Cup was confirmed when they suffered 0-24 to 0-13 defeat to Cork in the Munster SFC quarter-final.

The Tailteann Cup consists of teams from Division 3 and 4, Westmeath who were relegated from Division 2 and teams who didn't reach their provincial finals.
Teams that finish top of their groups will advance directly into the quarter-finals. The four teams that finish second along with the three third-placed teams with the best record and New York compete in the preliminary quarter-finals.
Lee's side will be looking to build on their impressive during the Allianz Football League. Limerick were crowned Division 4 champions earlier this year.
In the last two years, Limerick have reached the quarter-finals in the Tailteann Cup. Group one consists of Kildare, Sligo, Leitrim and Tipperary. Meanwhile, Offaly, Laois, Wicklow and Waterford compete in group two. Ulster quarter-finalists have been drawn alongside Wexford, Carlow and Longford.
