University of Limerick earn home Sigerson Cup quarter-final date with DCU

Four under-21 divisional football finals take place in Tipperary this weekend

UL will play DCU at home in the Sigerson Cup quarter-final on Wednesday

UL CONTUNUE their hunt for a Sigerson Cup title when they welcome DCU to their own grounds on Wednesday in the competition's quarter-final.

Declan Brouder's charges have had impressive wins over ATU Donegal and Maynooth University thus far in their bid to return to the final this year.

UL lost out to UCC after extra time in the 2023 final and face a DCU outfit that have lost by a point to Queens University and beat SETU Carlow to reach this stage.

Clare duo Daniel Walsh and Ciaran Downes have been outstanding in getting UL to this stage, while Kerry's Paul Walsh scored a vital two points in the 0-8 to 0-7 win over Maynooth.

The other quarter-finals see University of Galway take on UCD, Maynooth face Queens and TU Dublin play Ulster University. All games take place this coming Wednesday, January 31.
