LIMERICK U20 hurler Cian Scully starred, scoring 0-13 of his side’s 19 points, as Dromin-Athlacca were crowned County U21 B hurling champions thanks to a hard-fought four-point win over Knockaderry in a thrilling game on Sunday afternoon.
In Ballyagran, it finished Dromin-Athlacca 0-19 Knockaderry 2-9 after three late Scully points - two frees and a point from play - put daylight between the two sides and gave the South Limerick side the well-deserved win.
A fantastic game of hurling, played in good conditions despite a swirling wind, both Dromin-Athlacca and Knockaderry were level 10 times before the eventual winners pulled away in the final four minutes.
Knockaderry's goals came through JJ Condon and Ronan Keating in either half, but it was an impressive return of 0-13, 10 of which were frees for Cian Scully, that won the game for Dromin-Athlacca.
Photographer Brendan Gleeson was on duty for the Limerick Leader at Sunday's final.
