Purple & Gold Jubilee Gathering: On Saturday, November 15 we remembered the winning teams of 1975 and 2000. All management and players received a commemorative frame with team photos. The club would like to thank Matt O'Callaghan who was superb as MC. We would like to thank Eamonn Cregan who was coach to the 1975 team for making the presentations to the team. We heard tales of only Saturday training sessions, character building press ups, fan clubs, CBS Harty cup teams and that such was the celebration after the whistle that our victorious players returned to the dressing room full of delight only to realise, they had forgotten to remain on the pitch for the cup presentation. The club would like to thank Gerry O'Sullivan for returning to the club to make the presentations to the footballers of 2000. The footballers told tales of replays and that for many the road to victory started with the great work done by their coaches from when they were underage. Andrew Grene compiled a record of matches, player stories and team pictures from both eras and this booklet was available on the night to all. The night was full of stories of brothers, of emigrants to London, America and Clare, of immigrants from Oola, Galbally, Laois, Clare, Kerry and Knockea, all were remembered and applauded. Looking around the room the greatest thing of all was how many from those teams are still involved with the club, on committees, as coaches or supporting our weekly lotto. The club would like to thank everyone who supported the evening, by donating spot prizes, or buying raffle tickets, we would like to thank Donal and Francis Kirby for the hospitality on the night and their generous donation towards the cost of the evening. Pictures from the evening are available on our social media.

ACADEMY: On Monday evening, November 10 in the Millennium Centre Caherconlish the presentation to the U14s and U15s Divisonal Hurling and Football academies took place.
This is a great recognition for both panels for their attendance and contribution to making the academies a success.
The divisional academies started in 2024 for hurling and football at U14s and this year along with the U14s we also had U15s.
Venues across all of East Limerick were used and both panels had Blitz within the county and travelled to other Counties to participate in games.
This was a new feature this year and was welcomed by all the players.
The Success of the Divisional Academies can only happen with the right people behind it.
Coaches Mike Boland and Jack Franklin week on week coaching the players.
Limerick GAA Coaching & Games Development Pat Donnelly, James Ryan , Sean McCarthy and Eoin O'Mahony who helped massively to make the academies a success.

GAMES: With the poor weather forecast for last weekend the County Board took the decision on Thursday to defer the U20 football fixtures for Saturday last. Galtee Gaels were fixed to play Shannon Gaels at home, two clubs at the extreme ends of the County approx 110k apart, in this one the risk of travelling and not being able to play was too great. Check with club officials for re fixture.

Both sides were playing to top the group in a very entertaining game Galtee Gaels came out on top on the score of 3-16 to 4-6. MUNGRET ST PAULS

JUNIOR C CAMOGIE: Hard luck to our Limerick Motor Centre sponsored Junior C Camogie team who battled hard against Tournafulla at home last Sunday in the Shield Final!
After a slow start Mungret gradually came into the game, and at half-time there was just 3 points between them. Tournafulla had a purple patch in the 2nd half and built up a lead that we just couldn’t claw back.
LIMERICK CAMOGIE: Congratulations to our Camogie crew who will wear the green jersey of Limerick yet again when they step up to the U16 squad in 2026 - Chloe McAuliffe, Saoirse Browne, Lucy Barry, Eilis O’Neill
We are very proud of the 4 of you and look forward to seeing you all in action in the new year!
MINOR LADIES FOOTBALL: Mungret St Pauls 2-3 Feohanagh Castlemahon 4-8. Hard luck to our Minor team who narrowly lost out to Feohanagh-Castlemahon on Sunday. November 10 in the second round of their championship. The girls were trailing by a point at half time and despite their best efforts to take the lead it unfortunately wasn't to be on the day for them. They have their final group game this coming Sunday away to Fr Caseys on Sunday morning at 11am.
All support is greatly appreciated as always.
SARSFIELD CUP: Well done to all the players who represented their clubs and schools in the Sarsfield Cup this week. Mungret St Pauls are delighted to have six players wear their divisions jersey with pride. Colm played on the East team who were unlucky in their result against the West team. There were five players on the City Sarsfield cup team Danny, Jamie, Mattie, Sean and Carter who had a win over the South team.
The Limerick City will now meet West Limerick in the final of the Sarsfield Cup which will take place on Wednesday, November 19.
COUNTY: Mungret St Pauls would like to wish Diarmuid Mullins and his backroom team the best of luck in 2026 with the Limerick Minor Hurling panel.
U20 PREMIER HURLING: Mungret St Pauls 4-18 Bruff 3-15. Mungret St. Pauls produced a powerful and composed performance in Mick Neville Park on Thursday, November 13 to claim a deserved victory over a spirited Bruff side, finishing eight-point winners after a first-half scoring burst paved the way for success.
Bruff opened the scoring inside the first minute with a free, but Mungret St Pauls replied immediately with a well-taken point from play. The early exchanges were tight, with Bruff edging ahead 0-4 to 0-2 after six minutes as they took advantage of placed balls and sharp shooting.
Mungret St Pauls, however, settled into the contest and began to find their rhythm. 3 points from play kept the sides level, and when a long-range ’65 was expertly converted on 15 minutes, Mungret St Pauls drew level again at 0-6 apiece.
The turning point arrived near the end of the first half — seven minutes of devastating hurling that Bruff simply couldn’t contain. A brilliantly worked move resulted in Mungret St. Pauls first goal quickly followed by a second just two minutes later. The red and white were suddenly in full flow, and Bruff’s defence struggled to match the pace and precision of the Mungret St Pauls forwards.
Bruff managed a point to briefly steady themselves, but Mungret St Pauls struck again with a third goal on 25 minutes, pushing the gap to eight. A point from play moments later kept the momentum firmly in Mungret St Pauls favour before a fourth goal a minute later capped off a remarkable spell that saw them race into a 4-8 to 0-8 lead at the break.
Though Bruff would battle hard in the second half - eventually finishing with 3-15 - the foundation laid by Mungret St Pauls blistering first-half run proved unshakeable. They kept the scoreboard ticking throughout the second period, adding ten more points to maintain control and ensure the margin never seriously narrowed.
In the end, Mungret St Pauls’ combination of scoring efficiency,
Teamwork, and a ruthless first-half surge proved too much for Bruff.
It was a confident, intelligent performance and a statement victory to see them top the group table with 3 wins.
SCOR NA NOG: Congratulations to all the competitors who took part in the Scór na nÓg Munster Semi Finals which took place on Saturday, November 15 in Pallasgreen.
Well done to the Mungret St Pauls members who qualified for the Munster Scór na nÓg Final set for Sunday, November 30 in Halla na Féile, Cashel at 2pm. Ceol Uirlise - Rebecca Ní hOráin, Lydia Ní Chodlata, Tomás Mac Biorna, Cathal Ó Riain agus Saoirse Nic Pháidín.
