LIMERICK senior hurlers took on great rivals Tipperary in the Dillon Quirke Foundation senior hurling challenge game at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Sunday.
A youthful, experimental Limerick side lost out to their hosts on a 3-27 to 1-20 scoreline with both sides using the opportunity to give gametime to numerous squad members.
Limerick will begin the defence of their Division 1 Allianz Hurling League title against Antrim back at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Sunday next, 2pm.
