GER AND BRIAN McPartland are hoping to help New York's hurlers spring a surprise this evening when they play a Galway developmental side in the Connacht Hurling League semi-final.

The Doon brothers played a part in New York's win over Leitrim in the quarter-final of the competition with Ger scoring two goals in the 4-26 to 1-14 victory at the Connacht GAA Dome. Brian came off the bench at half time.

The brothers are both living in New York and were born in the big apple. Both have played underage with Limerick and senior with the east Limerick club.

The game with Galway has a 7pm start and can be streamed live by clicking here.
