THREE-TIME All-Ireland hurling championship winner Pat Ryan starred in the New York final on Sunday evening scoring 1-3 in the victory for Tipperary NY.
The Doon club man put in an impressive performance, helping his side to a 2-21 to 3-13 win over Waterford NY at Gaelic Park in New York.
Ryan was part of the Limerick panel earlier on in the year but was released by John Kiely ahead of the the league campaign. He is expected to be back from the US in time for Doon's opening Limerick SHC against Kilmallock in a couple of weeks' time.
He was a key squad member in the 2018, 2020 and 2021 Liam MacCarthy Cup wins but was let go midway through last year's season due to an off field the incident, in which Ryan said that he 'let the standards of the group down.'
Congratulations to @PatSimon13 Winning with Tipperary NY in the New York Senior Hurling Championship Final This Evening in Gaelic Park.
