Magpies favourites to retain Limerick SFC title

The 12 teams that will take part in the IWP Limerick SFC.

THE IRISH Wire Products Limerick SFC was launched at the Fitzgerald's Woodlands House Hotel and Spa on Monday evening with champions Newcastle West favourites to win a third title on the bounce.

The Magpies are 7/4 with the bookies to their seventh Fr Casey Cup ahead of last year's beaten finalists Adare, who are at 11/4.

The action gets underway on Thursday with a huge clash in Group 1 between Newcastle West and Fr Casey's in Tournafulla, while 2022 Intermediate champions Na Piarsaigh kick off Group 2 against Ballysteen in Clarina.

There are two more fixtures in Group 2 on Friday evening with Galtee Gaels playing Ballylanders in Kilfinane and Adare playing Monaleen in Bruff.

Group 1 continues on Saturday evening when Oola play County Senior Football League champions St Kieran's in Mungret. Claughaun take on Kildimo-Pallaskenry in Clarina. All games have a 7.30pm start.
