They will be seen in the green and white at half time of the Limerick versus Clare Munster SHC match which takes place in the Gaelic Grounds on Saturday, April 29. This is a huge achievement/experience for all three girls and their teammates who no doubt will remember it for the rest of their lives.
Easter Camp: Our GAA Easter camp for boys and girls began on Tuesday, April 4 and runs until Thursday, April 6. There were 140 children all togged out and full of excitement on Tuesday morning ready to enjoy the next three days. We are delighted to have our own players coaching the children attending. Thank you to Kevin O’Hagan for organising the camp this week.
Team Limerick Clean Up: Special thanks to all of our members who turned up early on Friday, April 7 to support our TLC initiative and the very many young boys and girls. We also appreciate that JP McManus and Paul O'Connell our county manager Pat Daly and members of the JP Mc Manus team paid us a visit and had a photo taken . They were very impressed with the large turnout. Also well done to our members who were invited to groups in their own neighbourhood.
Camogie: The Limerick Camogie Development "County Go Games Day" took place in Ahane Camogie Club on Saturday and what a smashin day it was for all our U11 players who took on Bruff, Ahane and Monaleen. Our U14s had a very competitive match in their first Mackey League game. Newcastle West earned a two-point win in a hotly contested game. The U16's league also got underway with a good win over Galbally.
Gaelic Football: Our U14s started their season with a game against Cappamore and the lads came away with a big win. The U17 footballers also got underway with a 4-17 to 6-5 win over Adare, while our intermediate football side lost by four points to the Monaleen senior team.

NA PIARSAIGH

FEILE HURLERS: An eventful weekend for our Under 15 feile hurlers as they began the journey at home in Na Piarsaigh. With 3 group games down for decision first up was Monaleen. A ding-dong battle pursued and  a last-gasp leveler by Alex Kearns sealed a draw.
Next up were Ballybrown and a game where goals were crucial and we scored three to win on a 3-6 to 0-4 scorleine.
Last group game was against Mungret and once again a solid victory after a brilliant David O Keefe goal sealed a 1-7 to 0-6 win.
So onto the semi final which was played in Kilbreedy on Easter Monday.
Very wet conditions made life hard but a very close battle was fought out. A late laong range free from Alex Kearns brought the game into extra time. Two 5 minute halves then took place with Kilmallock taking the lad at the break. The second five minutes we equalised and had two great opportunities to seal it but didnt take them. Kilmallock converted a last minute free to win the game on an an0-8 to 0-7 scoreline.
A bitter pill to swallow but nonetheless an excellent couple of days for this wonderfully gifted group. Plenty more hurling to play this year so yes disappointed but not beaten.
Thanks to Cathal Minihane and his management team and the entire group of players who were excellent throughout.
Our B team was also in action and unfortunately, age and size went against them. Good preparation for next year. Thanks once again to the management and entire squad of players for their efforts.

The numbers drawn were 04, 12, 23, 26

PALLASGREEN

Condolences: When news filtered through of the passing of Christy McMahon a sense of shock vibrated around this great community. Christy was one of these characters, natural warmth and affectionate, he was appreciated by his immense experience and integrity. The GAA was his life and he left an indelible mark in Pallasgreen. In terms of contribution to the GAA both on and off the fields.
However, it is at administration level that Christy will be remembered. Christy married Hannah Long of Herberstown and reared five children, Jimmy, Martin (RIP), Chris, Trevor and Lorraine. It was no surprise that the boys followed their father’s example and became immersed in the club. Since last Thursday there will be a void at that wall, a void that will not be easily replaced His contribution to Pallasgreen GAA is immense and as a result the club elected him vice president in 2003. His lifelong involvement is an inspiration to his fellow members.
It’s men like Christy that make the GAA the great organisation that it is today. His unselfish service to the GAA was rewarded in 2011 when he received a Shean Ghaeil Award for his outstanding service to this great organisation. To Hannah, Lorraine, Jimmy, Chris, Trevor and his extended family, Pallasgreen GAA Club extends its sincere sympathies. Ar dheis de go raibh a anam dilis.

SENIOR HURLERS: The Senior hurlers recorded their first win in the City Senior League with a comfortable home win over Kildimo-Pallaskenry. While the visitors led by 0-2 to 0-1, the games was effectively wrapped up by Patrickswell with a salvo of one goal and six points without reply between the 5th and 15th minute.
The pace of scoring slowed and Patrickswell reached half-time with a lead of 1-10 to 0-3. The second half contained a spell of five minutes where Patrickswell notched two goals and a point to Kildimo-Pallaskenry's goal. The hosts were now 3-11 to 0-3 ahead in the 45th minute. Our visitors were competitive in the last quarter and the match ended 3-17 to 0-8.
JUNIOR Hurling: Our junior 'a' hurlers lost at home to Ballybricken-Bohermore in the City East Intermediate Hurling League. The teams were inseparable at 1-5 to 0-8 at half-time but Ballybricken Bohermore shaded the second half to win by 1-17 to 1-13.

Team Limerick Clean Up: Many thanks for all our volunteers who helped clean up our grounds and clubhouse last Good Friday morning for TLC.
Easter Camp:We had a really fantastic turnout for our Easter Camp last week and huge credit to Cronan Garry jnr, Noel Hartigan and Cathal O'Neill for organising it. We appreciate all the help also from all our volunteers for the few days and also to Limerick hurler Cathal O'Neill for attending on the last day and giving sound advice to all our underage budding athletes. The responce back from everyone is that the boys and girls are already looking forward to the next camp.
Junior Hurling:Our junior hurlers league campaign continued this week with a visit from neighbours Caherline. We started well and by halftime had built up a sizeable lead with the score line 0-12 to 0-2. However, Caherline started the second half well and scored the first six points to reduce our lead to four points. Jack Fitzpatrick's goal increased our lead and further goals from Barry Walsh and Mike Keane kept Caherline at bay.
Final score of 3-16 to 1-15 saw us continue our winning run. Our next fixture is in a couple of weeks when we play Ballybrown.
