LIMERICK'S U20 footballers play their EirGrid Munster Championship opener when welcoming Waterford to Ballyagran this afternoon at 2pm.
A win for Shane Kelly's side would then set up a fixture against Cork a week later in Páirc Uí Rinn. Limerick have prepared for their provincial campaign by reaching the Liam Connor Cup Final but were beaten in the decider at Miltown-Malbay last month.
Kelly's charges had beaten Tipperary and Offaly en-route to the final with Clare. They had also lost to the Banner earlier in the group stages.
Limerick had a 2-9 to 1-6 over Waterford in 2022 when they met at the same stage in Fraher Field, Dungarvan before they fell to heavy defeat in their next game against Cork. Limerick versus Waterford is being live streamed by Munster GAA.
