LIMERICK manager John Kiely says his side are in a good place ahead of Sunday's Allianz Hurling League Final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Kiely was speaking at the launch of the 2023 Munster Championship's launch at the Cork venue and is looking forward to what Kilkenny will bring to the table.
"It's a great game for us to have at this particular time. Championship is only two weeks away so the more high intensity games we get leading into that will ensure that we are ready."
The Limerick manager added that he has almost a full hand to play with in the league final, outside of the suspended William O'Donoghue and the injured duo David Reidy and Jimmy Quilty.
"We are in good shape. All our injuries have pretty much cleared up at this stage. David Reidy and Jimmy Quilty are just that little bit off yet and have made great progress. We are delighted with that.
"We have been working hard and getting through the sessions, and getting through them successfully. We couldn't ask another thing of the lads to be honest. We are very much looking forward to the the game on Sunday and putting ourselves to the test again."
Limerick's league final clash with Kilkenny has a 2pm throw-in at Páirc Uí Chaoimh and is live on TG4.
