Limerick Football Academy squads named for three tournaments

Limerick's U14, U15 and U16 gaelic football academy panels are in action tomorrow

LIMERICK'S football academies are in action this weekend as the U14s (Jim Power), U15s (Dermot Earley) and U16s (O'Donovan) take part in their respective tournaments.

The tournaments are a crucial step for development of underage footballers and the tournaments run across the months of April, May, July and August.

There are three round robin games that will then be followed by semi-finals and finals. Two U14 teams start their games against Waterford on Saturday at Maguires Field at 12.20pm. They will also face Tipperary and Clare.

There are also two U15 sides and they begin against Wexford tomorrow in Maguires Field at 2.05pm. Team one plays Cork City-West and Wicklow, while team two faces Galway West and Tipperary.

The singular U16 side comes up against Cork West in Páirc Uí Chaoimh's 4G pitch at 1.30pm. They will also face into fixtures against Galway and Roscommon.
