LIMERICK head into Sunday's Allianz Hurling League Division 1B clash with Galway at Pearse Stadium this coming Sunday looking for their second win on the bounce.

John Kiely's men are on the back of a six-point win over Clare last time out and the Limerick manager will be hopeful that his charges can back up that performance with another against Henry Shefflin's side.

The Tribesmen sit one place behind Limerick in the Division 1B table following a win and a defeat from their two games.
Galway were 4-24 to 3-22 losers to Cork in Salthill in their last game and Shefflin will be expecting a response from his charges after a somewhat underwhelming showing against the Rebels.

Galway were also not at there best when they opened the 2023 league with an eight-point win over Wexford.
Evan Niland has been in fine form for Shefflin in the opening rounds of the league.

The Clarinbridge clubman has slotted 0-21 from his his two games to date and Limerick will be well aware of his prowess from placed balls.

Limerick had a sharpshooter of their own in Micheál Houlihan against Clare and the Kilmallock man could be in line for another outing after his impressive performance against the Banner. Houlihan finished with 0-12 in the game in what was an excellent display.

Kiely has several injury worries ahead of the trip to Galway with captain Declan Hannon and David Reidy set to miss out.
There are also doubts surrounding the fitness of Cathal O'Neill and Fergal O'Connor.

The latter came off against Clare in the first-half, while O'Neill missed the final three games of UL's Fitzgibbon Cup championship run with an injury.

Limerick versus Galway has a 2:3opm throw-in at Salthill and is live on TG4.
