Limerick native Pat Ryan has been appointed as the new Kerry senior camogie manager

LIMERICK man Pat Ryan has been appointed as the new Kerry senior camogie manager for 2023.

Knockainey native Ryan previously managed the Limerick senior and junior camogie sides in 2021.

Ryan is a former player and manager of his native Knockainey hurlers. When work took Ryan to Belfast in 2019, he was Antrim senior camogie manager and coach to the Queens University hurlers.

He is no stranger to the Kerry camogie scene as in 2013-2015 he served as manager to Kerry senior club side Causeway and managed the Kerry minor hurlers that won the 2013 All-Ireland MHC B title.

In Limerick, Ryan has coached and managed at varying levels in his home club and has also held hurling roles with Fedamore, Kilteely-Dromkeen and the County Underage Hurling Academy.

Kerry County Camogie Board Chairman, Ger McCarthy welcomed the appointment of Ryan who he previously worked with back in 2013.

Ryan and his backroom team are set to be ratified at the first County Board meeting in January.

The chairman also pays tribute to the former manager Ian Brick and his management team for their commitment over the last four years.
