A NUMBER of charities are in the black thanks to Greybridge Classic Club which has raised close to €300,000 over the last 14 years.
Their latest cheque presentation took place in the Woodlands House Hotel with €25,000 being divided between three charities.
The monies were raised at events including the club’s Christmas Lights Run which gets bigger and bigger every year. The scale of it is perfectly captured by photo taken by Eamon Doody, of Skyview Photography, with a drone.
The festive event lights up the countryside as the convoy of festively decorated tractors, trucks and cars drives through county Limerick.
Fiachra Liston, chair of Greybridge Classic Club, said they were thrilled to be able to present €8,000 to Macra’s Make the Moove, €8,000 to Cliona’s Foundation and €9,000 to the Limerick Red Cross which will be divided between their three branches.

Mr Liston thanked one and all who helped Greybridge in their charitable endeavours.
“We are profoundly grateful to you for your enthusiastic support for our fundraising events, which helps us assist those in our local community and over the last 14 years has raised close to €270,000 for 20 different charities locally. We could not express enough gratitude for your generosity,” said Mr Liston.
