Cllr Brigid Teefy

Ballybricken, Grange, Kilmallock

Full time public pepresentative

Why have you decided to run in the Local Elections?

I am running in the upcoming Local Elections to continue to represent the people of Cappamore/Kilmallock Municipal District in Limerick City and County Council. I have a deep interest and strong commitment to local communities.

Why should people vote for you?

I am an experienced, honest and hard working councillor. Since being elected to Limerick Council in 1999 I have dedicated my time and energy to working with and helping individuals, communities and many groups throughout the area. I was Cathaoirleach of Limerick County Council for two terms and have served on many Committees over the years.

What do you think is lacking in your area and what will you be campaigning for?

Focus is needed on encouraging employment in our rural communities.

Upgrading and ongoing maintenance of roads.

Sewerage treatment needs upgrading in many towns and villages.

Maintaining rural services, post offices, garda stations, GP services to help overcome rural isolation.

More services needed for our ageing population.

Increased numbers and extra resources for rural policing.
