Thousands of Limerick students gear up for Leaving Certificate results

The class of 2025 are getting ready to find out their results

THOUSANDS of Limerick students are gearing up to receive their Leaving Certificate exam results this Friday morning.

After weeks and weeks of waiting, youngsters in Limerick and around the country will log-in to a dedicated portal, or open envelopes to discover the grades which will determine the next steps in their lives.

Exam results will be available for Limerick students to view online. Some Limerick schools will offer local students the chance to come in discuss the results with teachers themselves.

Approximately 3,000 students will have sat their Leaving Certificate exams in Limerick this year. A smaller number would have completed their Leaving Cert applied programme.

Nationally, it's estimated more than 60,000 students would have taken the exams this year.

Those getting their highly-anticipated results can access them through the candidate self-service portal, open from 10am this Friday.

From there, students can view their results and get a statement of their provisional results.

Students who opted to apply for third-level education courses will receive their offers in CAO Round One next week, August 26, where they will find out whether their points grant them a spot in their prospective college course.

Applications to view Leaving Cert scripts open at 5pm this day and closes at 8pm on Wednesday, August 27.

CAO round one offers are available from 2pm online on the Wednesday to to all applicants applying based on school leaving examination results, regardless of the year completed.

The following day, the CAO Available Places facility opens at noon.

Available places are places that remain unfilled in particular courses after all offers have been made and waiting lists have been exhausted.
