University of Limerick bids to increase student numbers from African continent

is seeking to attract students from across Africa

UNIVERSITY of Limerick (UL) is seeking to grow the number of students attending the college from the African continent.

College bosses are seeking a company to provide “exclusive in-market representation” for the institution in Africa.

It has put out an advertisement for companies or individuals to tender for the work.

Whoever is successful will be charged with attracting Africa-based students to study at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in Limerick.

They will be asked to show an ability to implement marketing campaigns aimed at the west, east and south African markets through print and social media.

On top of this, they’d be asked to provide visa support to students and agents based in Africa.

Target areas include cities in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

UL did not return a request for comment.

The college currently has 18,000 students.
