There are currently 258 pupils attending the school. Gaelscoil Sáirséal has been under the trusteeship of the Edmund Rice Schools’ Trust since July 1, 2015 and they moved to their new permanent home on the Shelbourne Road in August 2016.

Willie O'Dea TD said: "This is a very exciting development for all involved at Gaelscoil Sáirséal, as the new extension will provide a state of the art learning environment for many decades to come. Well done to Príomhoide Áine Ní Fhíobhra and all involved in getting the project to this stage."
