The death has occurred of Tom Gavin (Peafield Road, Newtown, Castletroy, Co. Limerick, formerly of Four Roads, Co. Roscommon, and Garda Síochána Unit D Henry Street, Retired Superintendent Newcastle West, Co. Limerick). On April 23, 2022, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend of Eithne. Dearly loved father of Muiris, Bríd, Aisling, Ciara and Tomás. Sadly missed by his loving sons-in-law Phil, Patrick and Eddie, daughters-in-law Áine and Kate, 16 adored grandchildren, brother Tim, sister Eileen, brothers-in-law Michael, Padraic and Fr. Sean (Slattery), sisters-in-law Áine and Peig, nieces, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his sister Mary. Reposing at his home this Monday evening (April 25th) from 4pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass in Monaleen Church, Castletroy on Tuesday (April 26th) at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Kilmurry Cemetery. Tom’s Requiem Mass will be streamed live.
The death has occurred of Anne Mason (née Kearns) of Verdant House, Castletroy Retirement Village, Castletroy, Limerick. Predeceased by her husband Albert. Deeply regretted by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Anne will be reposing on Wednesday 27th April in Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin St., 3pm to 4pm. Arriving to St John's Cathedral Thursday, April 28, for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in Mt St Oliver Cemetery.
The death has occurred of Sean Carey (Portland Avenue, Ballinacurra Gardens, Limerick, late of Irish Cement Ltd.) On April 23 2022, peacefully at Milford Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Theresa. Dearly loved father of Ronan, Anne, Darragh, and Aoife. Sadly missed by his loving daughters-in-law Sheila and Emer, sons-in-law Noel and Paul, beloved grandchildren Laura, Philip, Ciara, Catherine, Grace, Isabelle and Ada, sisters Ainna and Eileen, nephews, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his brother Niall. Reposing at Thompsons Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Monday evening April 25th from 5pm to 6.30pm. Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, O’Connell Avenue on Tuesday, April 26 at 12 noon followed by private Cremation Service. Sean’s Requiem Mass can will be live streamed.
