The death has occurred of Johnny Barry, of Old Singland Road, Limerick City, Limerick

Johnny, passed away peacefully on Friday May 3 2019 at home, in the care of his family. Very deeply regretted by his beloved wife Geraldine, daughters Sharon & Lorna, Sons John, Alan, Mark and Kevin, daughters-in- law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Sunday, May 5 from 4pm followed by Removal at 5.30 pm to St John's Cathedral, Cathedral Place. Requiem Mass Monday, May 6 at 10am with funeral afterwards to Mount St Lawrence (extension) cemetery


The death has occurred of Maurice (Mossie) Lenihan, of Holy Cross, Firies, Kerry and Ashford, Limerick

Formerly of Tooreen Na Greine, Ashford, Co. Limerick.

Deeply mourned by his loving wife Noreen, sons Michael, Stephan, Paul and Derek, daughters Ann Maria and Jennifer, grandchildren Maurice, Dylan, Shannon, Jordan, Avery, Josh, Sean and Olivia, his brothers Tom, Jim, Liam, Martin and Paddy, sister Eileen (nee Begley), Brother-in-law Mick, daughters-in-law Christina and Breda, relatives, friends and neighbours

Reposing at O'Connors Funeral Home Firies on Sunday evening, May 5 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm with removal at 7:30pm to the Church of St. Gertrude, Firies. Requiem Mass for Maurice (Mossie) Lenihan on Monday May 6 at 11am. Burial afterwards in Kilnanare New Cemetery, Firies.

The death has occurred of Sr. Monica Twomey, formerly of Convent of Mercy, Doon, Limerick

On May 4, 2019, peacefully in the loving care of the Staff at Catherine McAuley Nursing Home, Limerick, Sr. Monica. Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, her Mercy sisters, relatives and friends.

Reposing at White's Funeral Home, Doon, Sunday evening from 5pm with removal at 6.30pm to Doon Parish Church. Requiem Mass Monday at 11.30am and burial afterwards in Doon Cemetery.


The death has occurred of Claire McMahon, née O'Sullivan. Late of Glenside, Annacotty and Monaleen Road, Monaleen, Limerick

Claire died peacefully at The Park Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Hugh and dearest mother of Siobhán, Jackie, Aelish, Jim, Caroline and Hugh. Deeply regretted by her loving sons-in-law Frank, Tony, Billy & Anton, daughters-in-law Elaine and Eleanor, her much loved 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Phyllis (O’Sullivan), nieces, nephews, relatives and her many friends (especially Angie, Meg and Jackie).

Formerly of Belfast, late Principal St Nessan’s National School, Mungret and vice president of Mungret St Paul’s GAA Club. On May 3 2019, peacefully at University Hospital Limerick. Beloved husband of Anne. Dearly loved father of Deirdre, Bronagh, Maeve, Pearse, Kevin, Eamonn and Eoin. Sadly missed by his loving daughters-in-law Yvonne and Olivia, son-in-law Johnny (Togher), grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Angela (Brett), nephews, nieces, extened family and a large circle of friends and ex colleagues.

Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Old Mungret Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Joan O'Grady (née Danaher), of Mount Earl, Adare, Limerick / Broadford, Limerick

On May 3 2019, peacefully, in the wonderful care of all the staff of Milford Care Centre.

Very deeply regretted by her husband Michael, brother Michael, sisters Mary, Breeda and Betty, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, sister-in-law Ita, relatives, kind neighbours and her many friends.
