Deaths in Limerick - April 12, 2018

The death has occurred of Thomas Connolly, Rockspring Gardens, Clancy Strand and formerly of Milltown, Co. Galway, peacefully at University Hospital Limerick.

Beloved husband of the late Josephine. Very deeply regretted by his loving children Martin, Louise, Diana, Michael and Siobhan, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchild, brothers, sister, other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin's Funeral Home, John's Gate on Tuesday (May 22nd) from 5.30pm. Removal at 7pm to St. Munchin's Church. Requiem Mass on Wednesday (May 23rd) at 11am. Burial afterwards in Kilmurry Cemetery, Castletroy. Family flowers only; donations, if desired, to St. Munchin’s Church Restoration Fund.

The death has occurred of Bernadette Mannion (née O'Donovan), O'Donoghue Avenue, Janesboro, late staff of Thomond House, peacefully at University Hospital Limerick.

Deeply regretted by her daughters Eileen & Erin, sons Mike & Tim, their father Tony (Mannion), twelve grandchildren, sister Kathleen (Lyons), brother Eddie, other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Cross’ Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Wednesday (May 23rd) from 5.30pm followed by removal at 6.30pm to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Janesboro. Requiem Mass Thursday (May 24th) at 11am with funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (ext.) Cemetery. House private please. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired to, St. Gabriel's School, Dooradoyle.

The death has occurred of Sheila Murray, Woodlawn Drive, Dooradoyle, formerly of Skerries, Co. Dublin and former Staff of Shaws Department Store, Crescent Shopping Centre, peacefully at University Hospital Limerick.

Beloved wife of the late Sean. Much loved mother of Charlie, Sean, Damien and the late Ciaran. Deeply regretted by her sons, daughters-in-law Lisa & Michelle, Damien's partner Ciara, adored grandchildren, extended family, friends and neighbours.

The death has occurred of P.J. Ahern, Murroe, Co. Limerick & formerly of Bunkey, Newport, Co. Tipperary, suddenly at his residence.

Loving husband of the late Breeda and brother of the late Joe and John. Sadly missed by his loving brother Martin, sisters Mary and Breeda, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Meehan's Funeral Home, Newport, Tuesday (22nd) from 5.00 o'clock with removal at 8.00 o'clock to the Holy Rosary Church, Murroe. Requiem Mass, Wednesday (23rd), at 11.30 o'clock. Burial afterwards in Abington Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Baby Cathal Aherne, Oakfield, Raheen, died at Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice, Dublin.

Darling son of Aileen (née O’Brien) & David and baby brother of Saoirse & Darragh. Very deeply regretted by his loving family, grandparents Pat & Margaret and Jack & Helen and a large surrounding family.

Mass of the Angels in St. Nessan’s Church, Raheen on Tuesday (22nd May) at 2pm. Followed by Private Cremation. No flowers please, donations if desired to Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice or Jack and Jill Children's Foundation.

The death has occurred of John Griffin, Belgard Grove, Patrickswell, Co. Limerick, peacefully in the wonderful care of all the staff at Milford Care Centre.

Father of the late Jason and brother of the late Ted, Billy and Tom. Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife Breeda, daughter Paula (Dillon), sons Phillip and Keith, son-in-law Ger, daughter-in-law Mariah, Jason's partner Stephanie, loving grandchildren, brothers Patsy, Martin and Gerry, sisters Monnie and Norrie, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, kind neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing Tuesday evening at Daffy's Funeral Home Croom from 6pm with removal at 7.30pm to the Church of the Blessed Virgin, Patrickswell. Funeral Wednesday after 11.30am Requiem Mass to St. Mary's New Cemetery Patrickswell.
