Deaths in Limerick - May 9, 2018

The death has occurred of Liam Daly, Gurteen, Ballingarry and formerly of Liam Daly’s Bar, Blackpool, Cork, peacefully at Milford Care Centre.

Liam, beloved husband of the late Claire, and dear father of Barry, Mairead, Brendan and Ronan, brother to the late Pat, Maurice, Rita and Ena, son of the late Billy and Delia Daly. Deeply missed and forever loved by his family, brother Peadar, sisters Mona, Noreen and Breda,uncle Joe, grandchildren Ciara, Conor, Tadhg and Maeve, many relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence, in Gurteen, Ballingarry, Co.Limerick on this Thursday May 10th from 2pm with prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass at the Church Of The Immaculate Conception, Ballingarry on Friday May 11th at 1.30pm. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s New Cemetery, Ballingarry. Donations in lieu of flowers to Milford Care Centre to help them continue their amazing work.

The death has occurred of Jack (Dad) Kelly, Knockpatrick, Foynes.

Reposing at his residence this Wednesday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass tomorrow, Thursday, at 12 noon in St. Senan's Church, Foynes followed by burial in Kilbradren Cemetery, Creeves. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Heart Foundation.

The death has occurred of Peter (Bull) McNamara, St. Brendan's Street, St. Mary's Park.

Son of the late Peter. Deeply regretted by his mother Pauline, daughter Alana, sister Kelly, brothers Christy and Tyson, brother-in-law Brian, Peter's partner Leeanne, all other relatives and friends.

Reposing on Sunday, 13th of May, at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street from 4.30pm to 6pm followed by removal to St. Mary's Church, Athlunkard Street, Limerick Requiem Mass on Monday, 14th May, at 11am with burial afterwards in Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Patricia Meaney (née Ryan), Clooncommons, Castleconnell, peacefully at Rosary Hill Nursing Home.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Tom, brothers and sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Meehan's Funeral Home, Castleconnell tomorrow, Thursday 10th, from 6 p.m. with removal at 7.30 p.m. to St. Joseph's Church, Castleconnell. Requiem Mass on Friday, 11th, at 11.30 a.m., burial afterwards in Stradbally Cemetery, Castleconnell. House strictly private please. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Milford hospice.

The death has occurred of Bernard Murphy, Fincarn, Elm Park, Ennis Road, late of Limerick Woollen Company, Upper William Street, peacefully at Ennis General Hospital. 

Beloved husband of the late Phyllis and much loved father of Miriam, Tony, Bernie and Colette. Deeply regretted by his sister Mary, sons-in-law Peter & Phil, daughter-in-law Linda, grandchildren Gilles & Laura, Manoelle, great-grandsons Gabriel & Theodore, niece Trish, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Thurs. May 10th from 6pm. Removal at 7pm to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Ennis Road. Funeral on Friday 11th after 11am Mass to Kilcrumper (Old) Cemetery, Fermoy.

The death has occurred of Mary O'Dea, (née Lenihan), Blackheath, London and formerly of Toureenagreana, Ashford, peacefully, after a long illness.

Predeceased by her parents Con and Hannie, brothers Conor and John. Sadly missed by her husband Pádraigh, daughter Joanne, son Francis, Joanne's partner Spencer, brothers Mossie (Firies), Tom (Bruree), Martin (Birmingham), Richard (Feohanagh), Paddy (Feenagh), Liam (Ashford) and Jim (Milford), sister Eileen Begley (Athlacca), uncle Paddy Kiely (Ballingarry), aunt Kitty Morris (Luton), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral will take place in London. Memorial Mass will take place in Ashford. Details to be confirmed.
