Deaths in Limerick - May 1, 2018

The death has occurred of Gerard Kiely, Dromroe, Ballagh.

Survived by his parents Joe and Kathleen, partner Lisa and son Jack, brother Christopher, sister Marie-Louise, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Riedy's Funeral Home, Newcastle West on Wednesday May 2nd, from 6pm with removal at 8pm to Ashford Church. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the Old Cemetery, Templeglantine. House Private Please.

The death has occurred of James P. McGowan, Weehawken, New Jersey and late of Newtown, Castletroy.

Beloved son of the late Dr. Patrick Mc Gowan and predeceased by his brother Darragh. Deeply missed by his mother Joan, son Dylan and Dylan's mother Iva, sisters Nicola (Campbell) and Trini, brothers Peter (New York) and Fr Martin SPS (Zambia), brother-in-law, nieces and nephew, aunts and uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.

Arriving at Mary Magdalene Church, Monaleen on Thursday (May 3rd) at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass at 11am on Friday (May 4th) followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the U.S.A.

The death has occurred of Pat Murphy, Ascal Inse Ban, Templeglantine, peacefully  at St. Ita’s Hospital, Newcastle West.

Deeply regretted by his wife Mairéad, son Seamus, brothers Mike and Denis, sister Nora, aunt Peg, grand-daughter Leah, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. R.I.P.

Reposing at Harnett’s Funeral Home, The Square, Abbeyfeale on Wednesday from 6.00 p.m. followed by removal at 8.00 p.m. to The Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Templeglantine. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11.00 a.m. Burial afterwards in Reilig na Tríonóide. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Friends of St. Ita’s Hospital, Newcastle West and Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The death has occurred of Bridget O'Brien (née Finnerty), 26 Derrynane, Old Cork Road, Co. Limerick and formerly of Sunrays Rehins, Ballina, Co. Mayo.

Deeply mourned by her loving husband Patrick, daughters Elizabeth, Bridget, Mary, Teresa, Ethna and Fionnuala, sons Patrick, Tom, Justin and Dermot, sisters Phil and MaryJo, brother John, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Drohan's Funeral Home, Dungarvan on Wednesday evening from 7pm with Removal at 9pm to St. Laurence's Church, Ballinroad. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Cancer Research.

The death has occurred of Josie O'Donnell (née Quigley), Kilmoylan, Doon, peacefully at St. Anthony’s Nursing Home, Pallasgreen.

Josie, wife of the late Paddy. Sadly missed by her loving sons Michael, JJ, and Gerard, daughters Kathleen, Mary and Siobhan, sister Mary, brother Paddy, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Whites Funeral Home, Doon Wednesday evening from 5.30 o’c with removal at 7.30 o’c to Doon Parish Church. Requiem Mass Thursday at 11.30 o’c and burial afterwards in Doon Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Margaret Quinlivan (née Mc Namara), St.Ita's Street, St. Mary's Park, peacefully in the tender care of Milford Hospice.

The death has occurred of BR. Thomas Sheehy, La Salle Community, Victory Park, Johannesburg, South Africa and late of P.O. Ballingarry, Co. Limerick.

Deeply regretted by his sisters Bridie and Miriam, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, friends and confreres.
