Deaths in Limerick - April 12, 2018

The death has occurred (peacefully at UHL) of Louise Egan of New Strand House, Ennis Road, Limerick. Late of Griffith Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston.

Very deeply regretted by her sisters Eileen and Joan, niece Margie, the staff and fellow residents of New Strand House.

Remains will arrive St. John's Cathedral on Saturday (April 14) for 10am Mass followed by burial in Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.


The death has occurred (peacefully) of James Hartnett of London, England and formerly of Bottomstown, Elton.

Brother of the late Pake, John, Mike and Joe. Survived by his loving wife Eileen and daughter Patsy, grandchildren Julie and Michael, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Davern's Funeral Home, Hospital, Co. Limerick this Sunday (April 15) from 6pm followed by removal at 7pm to St. Mary's Church, Knockainey.

Funeral Mass Monday (April 16) at 11.30am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.


The death has occurred (peacefully) of Brendan Horan of Abbot Close Nursing Home and Retirement Village, Askeaton, County Limerick. Late of Washington Heights & Briggs Avenue, The Bronx, New York.

Deeply regretted by his loving sons Damien and Patrick, daughter Jefi’lyn, sister Ann, extended family and friends.

Requiem Mass will take place at 9.30am on Monday (April 16) at St. Mary’s Church, Askeaton, Co. Limerick with burial afterwards in Mount St. Oliver Cemetery, Limerick.

Beloved husband of Eileen. Dearest father of Niamh, Maria, Louise, Michael and Patrick. Adoring Grandad of Michael, Neil, Cathal, Charlie, Evie and Saoirse.

Deeply regretted by his daughter-in-law Deborah, sons-in-law Neil, Andrew and Jonathan, his brother Pat, sisters Eileen Barry, Nuala Crotty and Teresa O'Connor, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred (suddenly) of Erwin Den Dikken of Ladd Lane, Dublin. Late of Limerick and Aercap. Formerly of Vianen, the Netherlands.

Beloved father of Sam, Fae and Lucas and dearly loved son of Gea and Ewoud. Sadly missed by Laura, his sisters Arina and Martine, mother-in-law Avril (Gill), extended family and friends.

Funeral Service at All Saints Church, Stradbally, Castleconnell, County Limerick at 11.30am this Friday with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
