Recent deaths in Limerick

The death has occurred of Dominic (Domo) Buckley, Creagh Avenue, Kileely, late of Limerick Corporation.

Husband of the late Geraldine (Jeanie) Buckley. Survived by his daughters Lorraine and Sandra, granddaughter Lauren, brothers Christy, Pa, Toddy and William, sister Liz, sons-in-law David and Jeff, nieces, nephews, all other relatives and close friends.

Reposing Monday at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, from 5.30pm to 7pm, followed by removal to St. Munchin's Church, Clancy Strand. Requiem Mass Tuesday at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Mt. St. Oliver's Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Milford Care Centre.

The death has occurred of Mary (Molly) Hogan, Killeen, Borrisokane, Tipperary / Limerick City.

Reposing at Keller's Funeral Home, Nenagh, from 5:00 pm on Sunday. Removal at 6:30 pm to St. Peter and Paul's Church, Borrisokane, arriving at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 1:00 pm with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Barney Keating, The Sidings, Bishops Court, Newcastle West, late of Bank of Ireland, peacefully at Milford Hospice. 

Husband of the late Marian nee O'Gorman. Beloved father of Mary, Michael and Edel. Deeply regretted by his sons-in-law Chris and Darin, daughter-in-law Marian Maher, grandchildren Freya, Leda, Chloe and Anna, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Riedy's Funeral Home, Newcastle West, this Sunday evening 8th April from 5pm to 7pm. Arriving at the Church of the Immaculate Conception Newcastle West on Monday morning 9th April for 11.30am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards to Calvary Cemetery. Family flowers only please. The death has occurred of Col. (Retd.) Michael D. Shannon, Monaleen Heights, Monaleen, Limerick / Kilrush, Clare, former Chairman of Irish Peace Institute, U.N. Peacekeeper, E.U Elections Authority, Limerick Rotary Club President peacefully at University Hospital Limerick.

Beloved husband of Jean. Dearest father of Caroline, Aoife, Oonagh, John & Michael. Deeply regretted by his sons-in-law Hugh, Kieran & Anthony, daughters-in-law Katherine & Nicolene, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Monday (Apr. 9th) from 5pm until 7 pm. Funeral arriving at Mary Magdalene Church, Monaleen on Tuesday (Apr. 10th) for 11am Mass. Burial afterwards in Kilmurry Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Jaqueline Tebbs (née Hill), Gortnagross, Athea, formerly of Dartford, Kent, England. 

Jacqui passed away peacefully on Thursday 5th April 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her devoted husband Steve, sons Samuel, Joshua and Benjamin, extended family, kind neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing in Kelly’s Funeral Home, Athea, on Monday (9th April) evening from 7 o’clock to 8 o’clock. Memorial Service at 8 o’clock Cremation will take place on Tuesday (10th April) at 1 p.m. in Shannon Crematorium, Illaunmanagh, Shannon, Co. Clare.

The death has occurred of Paddy Vaughan,  Hennessy Avenue, Killeely, late of Shannon Rehab and Shannon Community Workshop.

Son of the late Paul and Angela Vaughon. Predeceased by brothers Michael, Dessie and Paul and sisters Chrissie and Florence. Deeply regretted by brothers Gerard and Danny, sisters Angela, Noreen, Marie, Joan, Nuala and Anita, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, all other relatives and friends.
