Deaths in Limerick - April 4, 2018

The death has occurred of Martin Gavin, Pust South, Caherconlish, peacefully.

Deeply mourned by his loving wife Margaret, family and many friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Ballyneety on Friday (April 6th) from 6pm followed by removal at 8pm to Our Lady Mother of the Church, Caherconlish. Funeral on Saturday (April 7th) after 11.30am Mass to the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. House private please.

The death has occurred of Michael Glancy, Glasgow Park and late of 12th Battalion and Military Police, Sarsfield Barracks and Thomond Ward, St. Camillus Hospital, peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick.

Very deeply regretted by his wife Rose, sons Michael and Mark, daughters Ann and Brenda, grandchildren Ciara, Eoin, Billy, Jason, Sophie, Stephen, Rebecca and Shonagh, brother Sean, sisters Noreen, Eileen and Angela, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, all other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin St. on Thursday from 5:30pm to 7pm, followed by Removal to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Janesboro. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am. Burial afterwards in Mount St. Oliver Cemetery. No flowers, please. Donations, in lieu to St. Camillus' Hospital.

The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Lucey, Towerfield Crescent, Croom, unexpectedly at his home. 

Predeceased by his sister Essie (Daly). Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife Catherine, daughters Mary (Murphy), Karen (Wall), brother Conor, sisters Mary (Marshall) and Eileen (Trant), sons-in-law Pat and Johnny adoring grandchildren, Lucy, Connie and Alice, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law Jerry, John-Joe and John, cousins, relatives, kind neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing Thursday evening at Daffy’s Funeral Home, Croom from 6pm with removal at 7.30pm to St. Mary’s Church, Croom. Funeral on Friday after 12 noon Requiem Mass to Reilig Mhuire, Croom.

The death has occurred of William Musgrave, Court, Glin, peacefully in the loving care of Milford Care Centre.

William (predeceased by his brothers Harry and Sam and sister Elizabeth). Beloved husband of Mary Teresa (Enright), cherished Dad of sons Carl and William and daughter Marina. Sadly missed by daughters-in-law Mags and Clodagh, son-in-law Ruadhri, sister Rosaleen, his adored grandchildren, cousins, relatives, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at St. Mary’s Funeral Home, Tarbert on Thursday evening, April 5th, from 5pm until 8pm. Removal at 8pm to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Glin. Requiem Mass on Friday, April 6th, at 12 noon, followed by interment at Kilnaughtin Cemetery, Tarbert. Donations, if desired, in lieu of flowers to Milford Care Centre.

The death has occurred of Eileen O'Brien (née Buckely), Ballyculhane, Kildimo, peacefully at Thorpe’s Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her loving husband Miceál, grandson Denis, by her sister Agnes and brothers Pat and James and infant siblings; deeply regretted by her devoted family Olive, Tony, Marie, Jim, Ger, Denis, Pat, Eithne, Declan, Elaine and Anne, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law.

Reposing at St. Joseph’s Church, Kildimo from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, April 5. Requiem Mass on Friday, April 6, at 12 o'c. at St. Joseph’s Church, Kildimo with burial afterwards in Kildimo Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Jeremiah (Jerry) Sullivan, St James’ Court, Ennis Road, Limerick, formerly of Kenmare, Co. Kerry, Rtd., Detective Inspector, Garda Síochána, Henry Street, peacefully at Milford Care Centre, after a short illness. 

Beloved husband of Mary. Dearly loved father of Siobhan, Aileen, Niamh, Diarmaid and the late Eugene. Brother of the late Donal. Sadly missed by his loving sons-in-law Noel, Barry and Pat, daughter-in-law Isabelle, grandchildren, brothers Michael and Teddy, sisters Mai and Rita, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Milford Care Centre this Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Ennis Road. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am with burial afterwards in Mount St Lawrence Cemetery Extension. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Milford Care Centre.

The death has occurred of Claire Maher, Parnell Street and late of Barclay Court, Blackrock, Dublin, formerly of Sion Hill and Willow Park, Blackrock College, peacefully at Milford Care Centre. 

Deeply regretted by her loving nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, relatives and friends.

Requiem Mass in St. Munchin’s Church, Clancy Strand, Limerick on Friday April 6th at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (Extension) Cemetery. Family flowers only ~ donations if desired to Milford Care Centre c/o Griffin’s Funeral Home.
