Deaths in Limerick - February 28, 2018

The death has occurred of Eileen Colgan (née O’Neill), Dooradoyle, Limerick and formerly of Drimnagh, Dublin, peacefully, after a short illness at Milford Hospice.

Very sadly missed by her loving children Orla, Ciara, Niall, Darragh, Leo and Eoin, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandson, sisters Máire, Una, Pat, Máireád, Nora & Bríd, brothers John & Declan, her extended family and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate, Limerick on Thursday (March 1st) from 5.30pm. Removal at 7pm. to Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Patrickswell. Requiem Mass on Friday (March 2nd) at 12.30pm. Funeral afterwards to Shannon Crematorium. Family flowers only ~ donations if desired to Milford Hospice.

The death has occurred of Dylan Cronin, Ballynanty Road, Ballynanty, very suddenly. 

Deeply regretted by his loving mother Lorraine, sister Clodagh, nana Marina, step-dad Yann, other family & friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Friday (March 2nd) from 3pm. Removal at 5pm to St. Munchin’s Church, Clancy Strand. Requiem Mass on Saturday (March 3rd) at 12 noon. Burial after in Castlemungret Cemetery, Mungret.

The death has occurred of Rita McDonagh (née McNamara), Canal Bank, Limerick. Late of Lower Park.

Wife of the late David. Survived by daughters Rita and Esther, sons Damian and David, grandchildren Lorraine, Catherine, Kevin, Conor, Robert, Elizabeth, Martina, great-grandchildren Sean, Tadhg, Danny, Harry, son-in-law Michael, daughters-in-law, Helen and Mary all other relatives and friends.

Reposing on Wednesday at Cross' Funeral Home from 6pm followed by removal at 7.45pm to St. Patrick's Church, Clare St. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11am with burial afterwards in Kilmurry Cemetery. Contact: Cross's 061 410744.

The death has occurred of Joseph O'Carroll, Garryfine, Bruree.

Beloved husband of Johanna and dear father of Richard. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, son, sister Mary Downey, brothers-in-law, nephew, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Hawe's Funeral Home, Charleville on Wednesday evening from 6.30pm with removal at 7.30pm to St Munchin's Church, Rockhill. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to Ballingarry Cemetery.

The death has occurred of John O'Connor, Castlematrix, Rathkeale and late of Ruan, Co. Clare, peacefully at UHL surrounded by his loving wife Phil and daughter Mary. 

Sadly missed by his wife , daughter, grandchildren Sean and Carol, brothers, nephews, nieces, son-in-law David, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, friends and neighbours. May he rest in Peace.

Reposing at Magner's Funeral Home, Rathkeale Friday evening from 6-8p.m. Funeral arriving at St. Mary's Church, Rathkeale Saturday for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Kilscannell cemetery.

The death has occurred of Audrey Elliot, Blanchardstown and Castleknock, Dublin 15 and formerly of Co. Limerick, suddenly and peacefully.

The death has occurred of Michael Joe Madigan, Main Street, Shanagolden.

Deeply regretted by Loving Sisters Brenda (Mullins) & Sr. Mary Senan Good Shepherd Convent Limerick, Niece Helena and Husband Vasant, their Sons Cian & Canishk, his Nephew Senan and Wife Eida, their Sons Gary, Shane & Michael. Also sadly missed by supportive relatives, neighbors and friends. RIP
