Deaths in Limerick - February 22, 2018

The death has occurred of Madeline Power (née Kelly), Fitzhaven Square, South Circular Road, peacefully at Corbally House Nursing Home in her 97th year. 

Beloved wife of the late Lt. Col. Michael Power. Dearly loved mother of Rosemary, Michael, John and Madeleine. Sadly missed by her loving sons-in-law Eddye and Bill, daughters-in-law Kay and Rebecca, 10 adoring grandchildren, sisters Veronica and Anne, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Friday from 3pm to 5pm followed by removal to St Joseph’s Church, O’Connell Avenue. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12.30pm with burial afterwards in Mungret Cemetery.

The death has occurred of John (Séan) Steele, Rivers, Castletroy, late of Howmedica, peacefully at Milford Hospice. 

Beloved husband of Catherine (Kathleen) and dearest father of John and Susan (Shortt). Deeply regretted by his sister Bridget, brothers Liam, Donal, Jim & Tom, son-in-law Ken, daughter-in-law Judy, grandson Conor, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Friday, Feb. 23rd, from 5pm. Removal at 6.30pm to Mary Magdalene Church, Monaleen. Funeral on Saturday, Feb. 24th, after 12 noon Mass to Abington Cemetery, Murroe. Family flowers only ~ donations ,if desired, to Milford Hospice or Monaleen Cancer Support Group.

The death has occurred of Peter Hogan, Dromsally, Cappamore, at home surrounded by his family.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Adrienne, daughter Nessa, son Paddy, mother Maureen, brothers Tom, Pat and Liam, sisters Mary and Michele, mother-in-law, son-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Lynch-Kelly Funeral Home Cappamore Thursday evening from 5 o’c with removal at 7 o’c to St. Michael’s Church Cappamore. Requiem Mass Friday at 11.30 o’c and burial afterwards in Abington cemetery. House private, family flowers only, donations if desired to Milford Care Centre.

The death has occurred of Rose O'Brien (née McMahon), Kilteragh, Dooradoyle Road, peacefully at Nenagh Hospital. 

Beloved wife of the late Paddy. Dearly loved mother of Gerard, Kevin, Noel, Michael, Nessan and Séamus. Sister of the late Danny and Bernadette. Sadly missed by her loving daughters-in-law Valerie and Margaret, cherished grandchildren Kevin, Hilary and her husband Alex, brothers Pat and Gerard, sisters Una and Peggy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Rest in peace.
