Deaths in Limerick - February 13, 2018

The death has occurred of Una Brennan, Annacotty, peacefully in Roseville Nursing Home.

Sister of the late Donal. Very deeply regretted by her niece, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, the Ryan and Wixted families, other relatives and friends.

Reposing in Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Wednesday (Feb. 14th) from 6pm. Removal at 7pm to Mary Magdalene Church, Monaleen. Funeral on Thursday (Feb. 15th) after 12 noon Mass to Kilmurry Cemetery, Castletroy.

The death has occurred of Martin Clohessy, Brother Russell House, Mulgrave Street and late of Keyes Park, suddenly.

Deeply regretted by his parents Lily and Paddy, sisters Ingram, Liz and Josephine, brothers Terry and Patrick, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, brother-in-law Pat, close friends, all other relatives and family.

Reposing on Tuesday at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, from 5.30pm followed by removal at 6.30pm to St. John's Cathedral. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11.15am. Burial afterwards in Mount St. Lawrence Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Tom English, O'Connell Avenue, former Manager Savoy Theatre, peacefully at St. Johns Hospital Limerick.

Beloved husband of Anne. Deeply loved father of Alan, Sinead and Tom. Sadly missed by his daughters–in-law Anne and Lynn, son-in-law John, grandchildren Aisling, Holly, Jack, Emmet, Aoibhinn, Hugh, Eilidh and Tom, brothers Tony, Michael, sisters Olivia, Tess, Luce, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews and nieces, extended family and his many friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Thompsons Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Limerick this Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm. followed by removal to St. Josephs Church, O’ Connell Ave. Requiem mass Thursday at 11.30am, funeral afterwards to St. Nicholas cemetery, Adare.

The death has occurred of Peter Leo Cooney, late of Lenihan Avenue, Prospect, Limerick and St Camillus Home, peacefully at St Camillus Home. 

Peter will be sadly missed by his friends and all the staff at St Camillus. Requiem Mass at the Dominican Church on Thursday at 10.30am with burial afterwards in Mount St Lawrence Cemetery. No flowers please. Donations if desired to St Camillus Hospital.

The death has occurred of Ann Concepta Forkan (née Mulqueen), 3 Orr Street, Kilmallock, in England.

Daughter of the late James & Diana Mulqueen, sister of the late Bob. Very deeply regretted by her daughter Rosemary, son Paul, sisters Judy, Mary (Carey), nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service and interment of ashes this Thursday 15th at 2.00pm in Kilmallock Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Gerard Greaney, Nenagh, Tipperary and Ballyneety, unexpectedly.

Deeply regretted by his partner Eileen, daughters Jennifer & Chelsie, parents Danny & Meta, sister Theresa, extended family circle & friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Ballyneety, Wednesday (Feb. 14th) from 6pm to 8pm. Followed by private Cremation on Thursday. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to Alzheimers Society (Limerick Branch).

The death has occurred of Brenda May Laws (née Alliston), Faoi Dheireadh, Boola, Meelick, peacefully at St. Camillus' Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late John William Laws. Deeply regretted by her loving son Johnny, granddaughter Cadhla Ann, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home in Boola, Meelick. Removal to Meelick Church on Saturday Feb 17th to arrive for 11.30 Requiem Mass. Cremation afterwards in Shannon Crematorium at 1pm.

The death has occurred of Joseph Wallace, Cecil Street, late shoemaker, peacefully at University Hospital, Limerick. 

Pre deceased by his brothers Colm & Jimmy and sister Patsy. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, brother Kevin, nephew Seamus, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Wednesday (Feb. 14th) from 6pm followed by removal at 7pm to St. John's Cathedral. Requiem Mass Thursday (Feb.15th) at 11am with funeral afterwards to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery. No flowers please. Donations, if desired to, the Lung Association of Ireland.
