Deaths in Limerick - February 7, 2018

The death has occurred of Bridget (Bridgie) Holland (née Drew), The Ranch House Bar, Arywee, Fedamore, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. 

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Frank, son John, daughters Maria and Siobhan, sisters Kathleen and Esther, grandchildren, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Cross’ Funeral Home, Ballyneety, Thursday (Feb. 8th) from 6pm followed by removal at 8pm to St. John the Baptist Church, Fedamore. Requiem Mass Friday (Feb. 9th) at 12noon with funeral afterwards to Reilig Mhuire, Croom. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Milford Home Care Team.

The death has occurred of Christina Meany (Bean Ui Mhaonaigh), Cúl Átha, Athlacca North, Kilmallock Beechlodge Nursing Home and Dawn Court, Athlacca, peacefully.

Beloved wife of the late Larry (Lorcán). Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing daughters Máire, Bríd, Íde , sons-in-law, grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing this Thursday evening at Daffy's Funeral Home Croom from 6pm with removal at 7.30 to St John The Baptist Church, Athlacca. Funeral on Friday after 12.30 Requiem Mass to Athlacca Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Tony Houlihan, Daarwood Crescent, Newcastle West and Adare, peacefully at Milford Care Centre. 

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Audrey (née Griffin), daughter Neasa, parents Tommy and Breda, brothers Damian and Timmy, father-in-law Patsy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncle, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at O’Grady’s Funeral Home, Ballingarry on Wednesday, February 7th from 5pm with removal at 8pm to Holy Trinity Abbey Church, Adare. Requiem Mass on Thursday, February 8th at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St Nicholas' Cemetery, Adare. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Milford Care Centre.

The death has occurred of P.J. Maher, Dromin House, Dromin, Kilmallock, suddenly at University Hospital Limerick.

Deeply missed by his wife Nora, family Christine, Jerome, Pat, Ann, and Simon, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, extended family and friends.

Reposing this Wednesday evening at his residence from 5pm to 8pm. Arriving at 11.30am on Thursday to The Holy Trinity Church, Dromin for Requiem Mass, followed by burial in Dromin Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Milford Care Centre. House private please on Thursday morning.

The death has occurred of Séan O'Connor, Lynwood Park, Ballysimon Road, President of Claughaun GAA and late of Aer Lingus, Shannon, peacefully at Caherass Nursing Home.

Beloved husband of Marie, loving father of Valerie (Compton) and Leo and dearest brother of the late Fred and Leo. Deeply regretted by his son-in-law Kieran, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren Niall, Avril & Ciara, Jordan, Alannah and Séan, brothers Fred (pre-deceased) and Leo, sisters Peggy (Fitzgerald) and Bríd (O'Connor), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Wednesday (Feb 7) from 5pm. Removal at 7pm to St. Joseph’s Church, O’Connell Avenue. Requiem Mass on Thursday (Feb 8) at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.
