Deaths in Limerick - January 30, 2018

The death has occurred of Margaret (Teresa) Barry, Good Shepherd Avenue, Pennywell Road, peacefully at her residence.

Deeply regretted by her relatives and her close friends in Good Shepherd Avenue.

Reposing at Good Shepherd Convent Chapel, Pennywell Road on Wednesday, Jan. 31st, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral on Thursday, Feb. 1st, after 11.30am Mass in Convent Chapel to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Alphonsus (Alfie) Hayes, Keane Street, Kilalee and late of Beech Grove Nursing Home, Newcastle West, peacefully at University Hospital Limerick. 

Deeply regretted by his nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, all other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Thursday from 6pm followed by removal at 7.30pm to St. John's Cathedral. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am. Burial in Mount St. Lawrence Old Cemetery. No flowers please, donations, if desired, to Milford Care Centre.

The death has occurred of Martin Neill, Cliona Park, Moyross, peacefully in the loving care of staff at Milford Care Centre. 

Brother of the late Lolo and Marian. Deeply regretted by his partner Mary Lee, sons David, Patrick, Richard, daughters Martina, Mary, Paula, Claire, Colleen, Ciara and Antoinette, grandchildren, brothers Gerry, Pat, Richard, sister Joan, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews and all other relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Philomena O'Brien, Drewscourt, Ballyagran, formerly of St Catherine's Nursing Home, Newcastle West.

Beloved sister of Tom, John and Mary (Foley). Deeply regretted by her loving brothers, sister, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Bennis's Funeral Home, Ballyagran on Wednesday evening from 6pm with removal at 7.30pm to St Michael's Church, Ballyagran. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to Shandrum Cemetery.

The death has occurred of P.J. Power, Lower Gouig, Castleconnell, and late of E.S.B, peacefully at his home.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Eileen, sons Padraig and Eamonn, daughters-in-law Eileen and Joanne, grandsons Michael and James, sisers Sr. Anne, Mary, Una, Breda and Cathy, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Meehan's Funeral Home, Castleconnell this Wednesday, 31st January, from 5.30 o'clock with removal at 7.30 o'clock to St. Joseph's Church, Castleconnell. Requiem Mass on Thursday, 1st February, at 11.30 o'clock, burial afterwards in Stradbally Cemetery, Castleconnell.

The death has occurred of Barry Sheppard, Iona Drive, North Circular Road, formerly of Phibsboro Dublin, late Barry Sheppard and Partners, Chartered Quantity Surveyors, peacefully at home.

Beloved husband of the late Angela. Dearly loved father of Barbara, Sabina, Brian and Ian. Sadly missed by his son-in-law Dan, granddaughter Claire, sister-in-law Pat nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Rest in peace. Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street this Thursday evening from 5.30pm to 7pm followed by removal to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Ennis Road. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am with burial afterwards in Castlemungret Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Liam Robert Loftus, Blossomhill, Rathkeale and Pallaskenry.

Predeceased by his father Liam and brother Trevor. He is survived by his wife Michelle (née Frawley), mother Kathleen, brothers Jonathan and Darren, father-in-law Anthony, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his late brother Trevor's home at Milltown, Croagh on Wednesday January 31st., from 4pm until 7pm. (Shuttle bus service will operate to Milltown from the car park at Neville's at the Cross Kilfinny from 4pm and funeral traffic from Rathkeale to Kilfinny will be one way only). Requiem Mass on Thursday February 1st., at 12 o clock in St.Mary' Church, Pallaskenry. Burial afterwards in St. Nicholas' Cemetery, Adare.
