Deaths in Limerick - January 29, 2018

The death has occurred of Thomas Gavin, Nicholas Street, late of Hogan Avenue, Kileely & Thomond R.F.C, peacefully at University Hospital Galway. 

Father of the late Carol and partner of the late Kitty. Deeply regretted by Harriet, Kathleen & Michael, daughters (U.K.), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Mixie (U.K.), nieces, nephews, all other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Wednesday (Jan.31st) from 4.30pm followed by removal at 6pm to St. Munchin's Church, Clancy Strand. Requiem Mass Thursday (Feb.1st) at 11am with funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (Ext.) Cemetery.

The death has occurred of John Keane, Baggotstown, Bruff and Ballingarry (SR), Tipperary, peacefully in the loving care of all the staff of Mount Carmel Nursing Home, Callan.

Predeceased by his sister Ann. Deeply regretted by his loving daughter Margaret, son-in-law Michael, grandsons Johnny, Michael, Ken and Robert, his sisters Mary, Bridget and Margaret, his brother Patrick,brothers-in-law Batt and Bob, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Ronan's Funeral Home, Ballingarry on Tuesday evening, 30th January, from 6pm to 8pm. Reposing in St Marys Church, Knockainey, Co. Limerick on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11.30am followed by removal to Shannon Crematorium for cremation at 2pm.

The death has occurred of Kevin Lane, Kilbeg, Ballingarry, peacefully at his home in Adelaide, Australia.

Husband of the late Nancy. Deeply regretted by his loving daughters Sally, Susan and Margaret, brothers Philip, Oliver, Tim and the late Tony, sister Monica and the late Teresa, sons-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Burial in Adelaide, Australia. Funeral arrangements later.

The death has occurred of John McCormack, Ballykeeffe, in the loving care of the Staff of Millbrae Lodge Nursing Home.

Deeply regretted by his wife Lila (nee Lynch), daughters Fionnuala (Ryan), Deirdre, Emer (Russell), Gráinne (Byrnes), sons Deaglan and Aogan, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandson Tyler, nephews, nieces, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Wednesday evening from 5.30pm to 7.30pm followed by removal to St Paul’s Church, Dooradoyle. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11am with burial afterwards in Castlemungret Cemetery. No flowers. Donations if desired to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, Limerick Branch.

The death has occurred of Michael Meade, Ballinvana, Elton, very peacefully at the University Hospital Limerick.

Very deeply regretted by his loving wife Rose, sisters Peggy, Lizzie, Mary, and Bridget, brothers John, Maurice, Jimmy, Christy, Billy, Patsy and Johnny, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, kind neighbours and a large circle of friends.

The death has occurred of Emilie O'Sullivan (née O'Connor), Hazeldene Drive, Ennis Road, formerly of Patrick Street, peacefully at St Camillus Hospital. 

Beloved wife of Barry. Dearly loved mother of David and Karin. Sadly missed by her loving grandchildren, Daniel and his wife Chrissy, Finbar, Ellie and their mother Evelyn, great-grandson Alfie, brother-in-law Jack, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of Margaret (Peggy) Reidy (née Cronin), James Street, late of St. Brendan's Street, St. Mary's Park and Southill, peacefully at Catherine Mc Auley House, Nursing Home. 

Pre deceased by her husband Thomas & son Eamon. Deeply regretted by her loving family, daughters Patricia, Ena & Betty, son Thomas, partner Joe (Ford), sons-in-law Patrick, William & Jimmy, daughter-in-law Geraldine, Thomas' partner Mary, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Williams, Mortalstown, Kilfinane, suddenly at Residence.

Deeply regretted by his loving parents Tim and Dolly, brothers Michael and Tim, sister Margaret, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and many friends. RIP.
