Deaths in Limerick - January 18, 2018

The death has occurred of Kathy Casey Byrne, Ardagh, Limerick and Naas, Kildare, aged 29, peacefully after a short illness.

She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, Noel (Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo), her broken-hearted family; parents Pat and Daphne, sisters Melanie and Vanessa, brother Conor, nieces, nephews, mother-in-law Joan, her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and many, many friends.

Reposing at Riedy’s Funeral Home, Newcastle West from 5.00 to 7.30pm on Friday. Arriving at St. Molua’s Church, Ardagh on Saturday for Requiem Mass at 1.30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to Irish Cancer Society. May Kathy’s adventurous spirit be an inspiration to us all and may she Rest in Peace.

The death has occurred of John Conway, U.S. Bargain Stores, 13 Lower Cecil Street, peacefully at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Ann. Dearly loved father of Dawn, Caroline, Diana and John. Sadly missed by his loving sons-in-law Eamon and Aidan, daughter-in-law Pauline, brother Harry, sister Mary, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother-in-law Paul, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Rest in peace.

Arriving at St Joseph’s Church, O’ Connell Avenue on Friday at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Mount St Lawrence Cemetery Extension.

The death has occurred of Anna Fitzpatrick, Yeats Avenue, Kincora Park, suddenly at University Hospital Limerick. 

Deeply regretted by her children Alicia, Michael, Noel & Sean, parents Noreen & Noel, brother, sisters, aunts, uncles, extended family circle & friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Friday from 4pm followed by removal at 5.30pm to the Holy Family Church. Requiem Mass, Saturday at 10am with funeral afterwards to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Sr. Rosetta Gray, Sisters of Mercy, Westbourne Convent, Ashbourne Ave., South Circular Road and late of Kilnaleck, Cavan, peacefully, in the loving care of the community and staff of Catherine McAuley House. 

Deeply regretted by the Sisters of Mercy, her sisters-in-law Sheila & Siobhan, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Westbourne Convent on Friday from 3pm with prayers at 5pm. Funeral arriving at St. Joseph’s Church, O’Connell Ave., on Saturday for 10.30am Mass. Burial after in St. Mary's Convent Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Peter Meehan, Beechwood Drive, Greystones, peacefully at Corbally House Nursing Home. 

Beloved husband of Mary. Dearly loved father of Catherine (Power) and Susan (Montgomery). Sadly missed by his loving sons-in-law Eugene and Collis, cherished grandchildren Ruth, Jill, Mary, Grace, Eoghan and Conor, brother Bryan, sister Mary, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. May he Rest in peace.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Friday evening from 5pm to 6.30pm followed by removal to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Ennis Road. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 10.30am with burial afterwards in Mount St Lawrence Cemetery Extension.

The death has occurred of Doris O'Shea (née Mc Inerney), Meadowlands Avenue, Old Cork Road and late of Bengal Terrace and Kilmurry Avenue, Garryowen, unexpectedly in the UK.

Beloved wife of the late Jack & mother of the late Paul. Doris, will be sadly missed by her loving children Kenneth, Mary (Georgiou) (U.K.) & Geraldine (O'Dwyer), sons-in-law Richard & Andrew, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Margaret & Rita, nephews, nieces, extended family circle & friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Friday from 5pm followed by removal at 6.30pm to St. John's Cathedral. Requiem Mass, Saturday at 12 noon with funeral afterwards to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Patrick McNamara, Nelson, Lancashire, England and formerly of Killeagh, Caherline, Caherconlish, peacefully in England.
