Deaths in Limerick - December 11, 2017

The death has occurred of Catherine Murphy (née O'Reilly), Ballymacave, Croagh.

Beloved wife of the late Jack Murphy, survived by her family Geraldine, Carmel, Breeda, Stella, John, Michelle and Ann, sons-in-law, grandchildren, sister Mary, brother Jim, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and all other relatives and friends.

Reposing at O'Grady's Funeral Home, Ballingarry on Tuesday from 6pm with removal at 8pm to St. John the Baptist Church, Croagh. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12pm. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

The death has occurred of Ted O'Connor, Northam, Monaleen Road, Castletroy, late of Ted O’ Connor Dress Hire, peacefully at home.

Beloved husband of Betty. Dearly loved father of Pauline, Eddie, Susan and Sarah. Father-in-law of the late Dorothy. Sadly missed by his sons-in-law Pat and Eamonn, grandchildren Lee, Michael and Eddie, brother Barry, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home on Wednesday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Removal to Monaleen Church, Castletroy on Thursday for Requiem Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards to Kilmurry Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Finola O'Dwyer (née Murphy), Brookville Avenue, Clareview, formerly of Farrranshone, following a long illness bravely fought. 

Beloved wife of Paddy, loving mother of Muireann, Ronan, Declan and Ivan and dearest sister of Deirdre and the late Rosemary. Sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Carina, grandchildren Loughlin, Jude and Naomi, nieces Alison, Donna and Caroline, nephews Richard and Paul, relatives and a wonderful group of friends who supported her throughout her long illness.

Reposing at Griffins Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Tuesday from 5pm. Removal at 7pm to Christ the King Church, Caherdavin. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11.30am. Funeral afterwards to Castlemungret Cemetery. House private. Family Flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Milford Hospice.

The death has occurred of Leo McGinley, Ballysheedy, formerly of Kilcar, Co. Donegal, peacefully at home at the great age of 100. 

Much loved husband of the late Mary. Sadly missed by his children, Mary, Antoinette, Geraldine, Eamonn, Colette, John, Claire and Bernie, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, partners, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at home in Ballysheedy, Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm. Removal on Wednesday to St. Patrick’s Church, Donoghmore, to arrive for 12 noon. Requiem Mass followed by burial in Donoghmore Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Liam Geary, Hillside Drive, Mullingar, formerly of C.B.S. and late of Rathkeale, peacefully in the company of his devoted wife and family and in the tender care of Matron and staff of Cluain Lir Centre, Mullingar.

Liam will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Mary and his children Jane and Michael, his adored grandchildren Lauren, Liam, Lucy, Grace and Luca, sisters Mary and Angela, brothers Pat and Tony, son-in-law Paddy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Gilsenan's Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4pm to 6pm with removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10am followed by burial in Ballyglass Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to St Brigid's Unit, Cluain Lir Centre, Mullingar.
