Deaths in Limerick - November 19, 2017

The death has occurred of Bernadette Carroll, Fatima Avenue, Ballysimon and Castletroy, late of the Park Retirement Village, peacefully at Milford Hospice.

Beloved daughter of the late Patrick & Mary. Deeply regretted by her loving sister Mary, best friend Ann, neighbours & friends.

Reposing at Milford Care Centre, Mortuary Monday from 5pm followed by removal at 6pm to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Milford, Castletroy. Requiem Mass, Tuesday at 12 noon with funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (ext.) Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Josephine (Josie) Doyle (née O'Donnell), The Hill, Knocklong, in the loving care of The Matron and staff of Caherass Nursing Home. 

Predeceased by her loving husband Jim and brother Timmy. Deeply regretted by her sister Kitty Walsh (Portlaw, Waterford), nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at Fraser's Funeral Home, Galbally this Monday evening from 6.30pm to 8pm. Remains arriving at St. Joseph Church, Knocklong at 8.45pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery.

The death has occurred of John Joe Kennedy, High Park, Caherconlish, peacefully at St Michael's Nursing Home.

Beloved brother of the late Molly, Nellie and Bernie. Sadly missed by nieces Patricia, Therese, nephews Gerard, Ciaran, Michael, John, Alan and their partners, Aine, Christine, Lisa, Denise, Diane, Tommy & Martin grandnieces Ciara, Tara, Katie, grandnephews Jack, Ben, Tom, Sam, and the Hickey and Frawley families.

Reposing at Cross’ Funeral Home, Ballyneety Monday from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to Our Lady, Mother of the Church, Caherconlish. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 10.30am. Burial afterwards in the old graveyard Caherconlish.

The death has occurred of Margaret (Gretta) O'Brien (née Ingle), Glasgow Park, Roxboro Road, peacefully at St Michael’s Nursing Home, Caherconlish.

Beloved wife of the late Willy. Dearly loved mother of Paul, Mark, Serena, Lorraine and William. Sadly missed by her loving daughters-in-law Karen and Julie, grandchildren, brothers Christy, Pat and George, sisters Ellen, Mary, Noreen and Deirdre, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Tuesday evening from 5.30pm to 7pm followed by removal to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Janesboro. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am with burial afterwards in Mount St Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Brigid Shire (née O'Brien), Ballycummin Drive, Church Road, Raheen and late of Drehidtarsna, Adare, very peacefully, at the University Hospital Limerick.

Brigid, in her 94th year, wife of the late Joseph and mother of the late John. Very deeply regretted by her loving daughters, Breed (Hayes), Mary (Curtin), sons Canon Joe, Anthony and Emmet, brother William, daughter-in-law Brid, sons-in-law Aidan and Eddie, grandchildren, cousins, relatives and her many friends.

Reposing this Monday evening from 6.00pm at Daffy's Funeral Home, Croom, followed by removal at 7.30pm to The Church of the Holy Trinity, Adare. Funeral Tuesday, after 12 noon requiem Mass, to St Nicholas's Cemetery, Adare.

The death has occurred of Sister Annunciata Clune, Presentation Convent, Roxboro Road, Janesboro and late of Ballymacahill, Barefield, Clare, peacefully at home.

The death has occurred of Dr Harry Leahy, Shelbourne Road, Limerick City, in his 94th year, peacefully at home. 

Beloved husband of Joan. Dearly loved father of Fiona, Sarah, Criona, Emma, Rebecca, Julie, Harry and the late Geraldine. Dear brother of the late Betty, Fr Maurice SJ, Mary, Kathleen, Nancy and Dr John. Sadly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, sisters Celine and Bernice, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
