It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Maureen Ryan (née McGovern), Oakleigh Park, Caherconlish, Co. Limerick and formerly of Athboy, Co. Meath.

On July 27th 2025, peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, in the presence of her loving family.

Pre-deceased by parents William and Eileen McGovern, brothers Billy and Mickey.

Sadly missed by loving husband Paddy, son Tim, daughter Eileen, grandchildren Lawrence, Aaron, Conor, Annie, Pauraic, Laoise, Roan and Aoibheann, great grandchildren Aaron (Jnr.), Annaliyah and Hailey, son-in-law John, Tim's partner Linda, brother Joe, brothers-in-law Jimmy and Martin, nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Ballyneety, Tuesday, July 29th, from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral will arrive Wednesday, July 30th, at Archbishop Dermot O'Hurley Memorial Church Caherline, for Requiem Mass at 11am, funeral afterwards to Caherconlish Church Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Patrick (Birdie) O'Shaughnessy, Reens, Ardagh, Limerick.

Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of St. John's Hospital, Limerick. 

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Peg, brother Michael, sister Ita and her husband Charlie, brother-in-law Wilem. 

Patrick will be sadly missed by his loving wife Eileen, sons Patrick and Barry, brother Anthony, sisters Marie (Curley), Eileen, and Bernie (Foley), adored grandchildren Danny, Cian, Aoife, Aaron, Ryan, and Bella, daughters-in-law Ciara and Liz, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace

Reposing at Magner's Funeral Home, Rathkeale on Tuesday evening (29th July) from 6-7.30p.m. followed by removal to St. Mary's Church, Rathkeale. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon followed by burial in Kilscannell Cemetery.

May the light of Heaven shine on him.

The death has occurred of Bridie O’Mahony (née Chawke), Mount Russell, Fr. Russell Road, Limerick and late of HSE.

July 27th 2025, peacefully, in the excellent care of the staff at Milford Care Centre.

Beloved wife of Dan. Bridie will be very sadly missed by her loving sisters Kathleen, (Sharkey), Mary (Hennessy), and brother Tom, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and a wide circle of friends. Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Mary and brothers Paddy and Bill.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Tuesday (29th July) from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral arriving at St. Paul’s Church, Dooradoyle on Wednesday (30th July) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Castlemungret Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Elaine McNamara (née Hehir), Belfield Court, Farranshone, Limerick.

Peacefully, in the presence of her loving family, under the excellent care of the staff, at Milford Care Centre, on 27th July 2025.

Elaine will be sadly missed by her loving family, devoted husband Billy, children Sonia, Kenneth and Shane, precious grandchildren Lauryn, Aaron, Kayla, Cian, Kealan, Liam and Ella, great-grandson Brodie, son-in-law Sean, daughters-in-law Edel and Sally, her adoring sister Andriana, brothers Ray, Leslie, Paul and Philip, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and great friends.

The death has occurred of Peggy Keane (nee Ahern) Tobermaing Castleisland Co. Kerry and formerly of Broadford Co. Limerick. 

Unexpectedly on July 25th 2025 at University Hospital Kerry with her family by her side. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Mary, her sister Bernadette and Tim.

Sadly missed by her loving daughters Nora (Saurin) and Mary (O'Donoghue),her son Vincent, sons-in-law Shaun and James, Vincent's partner Harriet , her adored grandchildren Clara, Maeve, Liam, Alison, Eamonn, Luisa and Fionn, her brothers Patrick, Con, Tom, John and Mike, sisters Kathleen, Nell, Ita, Marian, Anne, Teresa and Geraldine, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, many friends and her former work colleagues at Talbot Grove Castleisland .

Tony is deeply mourned and sadly missed by his nieces Yvonne and Audrey, grandniece Sophie, grandnephews Wayne, Garry, Lee, Zach, Jay and Josh, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, dear friends Ann, Pauline and Mary, extended family, treasured neighbours and friends.

Tony will be fondly remembered by many, may his gentle soul rest in peace.
