Jon Kenny's devastated family have paid a heartfelt tribute to her husband
THE DEVASTATED family of legendary Limerick entertainer Jon Kenny have paid a warm tribute following his passing.
"Jon grabbed life and shook it as hard as he could getting every ounce of fun, madness and love from it – his wit, humour, generosity and kindness will outlast his passing. The memories and stories of those who knew him will be his legend," they said.
It comes as tributes continue to pour in from far and wide for the actor, poet and writer following the news of his tragic death this morning.
BREAKING: Legendary Limerick actor and comedian Jon Kenny passes away
In a brief statement, Jon's family - his "wife and soulmate" Margy, son Aran and daughter Laya - confirmed he suffered a cardiac arrest in the early hours of last Sunday, November 10.
Sadly he did not regain consciousness and passed away in Galway Hospital on Friday evening, at 7.20pm.
His family were at his side.
