Limerick Deaths: Friday, May 5, 2023

May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Tom Browne of Knocktoosh, Broadford, Limerick.

Formerly of Mallow, Cork.

Tom passed away peacefully on May 5 after a short illness, at his home.

Sadly missed by his wife Mary (née Mulcahy), brothers Donie, Jim and Timmy, sister Eileen, sisters-in-law Patricia and Anne, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Sextons Funeral Home, Broadford on Saturday from 6pm with Removal at 8pm to the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, Broadford. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Kilbrin Cemetery.

The death has occurred of David Gallagher, Baltimore, Maryland, USA and late of Tullerboy, Athlacca, Co Limerick.

Following an accident, David passed in the outstanding care of all at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his father Daniel, Uncle Phil and nephew Darragh.

Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing mother Noreen (nee McAuliffe), sister Kay (O’Shea), brother Kevin, David’s special friend Nicole, uncles Paddy and Tony, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and his many friends, both here and in the USA.

May He Rest in Peace.

Reposing this Saturday evening, May 6 from 6.30pm at Daffy's funeral home, Kilmallock, followed by evening prayers at 8pm. Removal to arrive on Sunday for 1pm Requiem Mass at St John the Baptist Church, Athlacca, with burial afterwards to the New Cemetery, Athlacca.

The death has occurred of Kevin McAuliffe of Ballygrennan, Bruff, Limerick.

Late of Old Cork Road, Limerick and Stryker, Dooradoyle, Limerick. Died peacefully in the tender care of the staff at Milford Care Centre.

Predeceased by his mother Eileen, father Denis and brother-in-law Jack.

Dearly loved husband of Catherine and much loved father of Rachel and Lucy. Sadly missed by his brother Denis, sisters Ann and Marie, mother-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing this Saturday evening, May 6 at Butler's Funeral Home, Bruff from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Arriving to St Peter and Paul's Church, Bruff on Sunday, May 7 for Requiem Mass at 3pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations to Milford Care Centre, Limerick if desired.

The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) McCarthy of Clarina, Limerick.

Patrick passed peacefully in the wonderful care of Milford Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness borne with great dignity and courage.

Predeceased by his grandson, Graham, his parents James and May, his brother Charlie, his sisters, Mary, Rita and Nuala and his godmother Tessie.

 Deeply missed and forever loved by his wife Catherine. Devoted father of Mary (Gee), Paul, Patrick, Leona (Kelly), John & Conor. Sadly missed by his daughters-in-law Catherine, Carol and Mai, sons-in-law Dave and Nigel, and his 15 adored grandchildren.

Paddy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brothers, Kieran and Jimmy, sisters Ann (Best), Betty (O'Connor) & Olive (Dinnage), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends especially in Ballybrown GAA.

May he rest in peace. 

Reposing at his son Patrick's home (V94 P2H5) on Saturday, May6 from 5pm to 8pm. Arriving at St Joseph’s Church, Ballybrown on Sunday, May 7 for Requiem Mass at 1.30pm followed by burial in Kilkeedy Cemetery.

No flowers please donations, if desired, to Milford Care Centre or the Irish Cancer Society.

The death has occurred of Daniel (Dan) O'Connell of Trim Road, Navan, Meath.

Late of Pallasgreen, Limerick.

ied peacefully at home on Friday 5th May 2023. Dan, beloved husband of Marie and loving father of Irene, John, Linda and Danny is very sadly missed by his family, daughter in law Mary, grandson Daire and his wife Jade, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May Dan Rest In Peace.

Reposing at the Fitzsimons Funeral Home, Canon Row, Navan this Sunday afternoon from 4pm to 7pm. Removal on Monday morning to arrive in St. Mary's Church, Navan for Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in St. Brigid's Cemetery, Oldcastle. House strictly private, please.

The death has occurred of Terry RYAN of High Meadows, Gouldavoher, Dooradoyle, Limerick.

Late of C.I.E. Terry, passed away peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick. 

Beloved husband of the late Patsy.

Devoted father of Fiona, Patrick, Lisa, Tara and Niamh. Beloved grandad to Andy and Abby, Cian, Gavin & Emma, Jeff and Emily, Lilly, Jack and Will.

Sadly missed by his sons-in-law Derek, Mike and Dave, great-grandchildren Harry, Ben and Indie, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Griffins Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Monday, May 8, from 5pm with removal to St Paul’s Church, Dooradoyle at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, May 9, at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Castlemungret Cemetery.
