The Courts Service are hiring a court messenger to assist with “debt collection” and the “enforcement of court orders” in Limerick .
Key responsibilities that the role encompasses include “the collection of monies on foot of Court Judgments lodged in the Court Office”, “taking possession of lands and houses on foot of Court Orders including ejectment of persons in occupation”, and “the seizure and sale of goods to realise Judgment Debts”.

The court messenger would support the work of the county registrar assigned to Limerick in their capacity as Sheriff and under the terms of the Enforcement of Court Orders Act, 1926.
Essential requirements for the would-be court messenger include “communicating and collaborating”, as well as “evidence based delivery”.
The Court Service is also taking applications for a court messenger in the Carlow-Kilkenny and Laois courts.
