THE MAN arrested following a major seizure of drugs at Shannon Airport on Wednesday has since been charged in connection with this investigation.
A garda spokesperson said the man, aged in his 20s, is due to appear before Gort District Court at 10.30am this Thursday morning.
“Investigations are ongoing,” said the garda spokesperson.

Revenue Customs Officers seized approximately 30kg of cannabis, with an estimated value of €600,000, at the airport on Wednesday.
He was arrested by gardaí and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a garda station in the Clare-Tipperary Division.
The drugs seized are to be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
