The wraps of crack cocaine seized by gardai I PICTURE: An Garda Siochana Limerick
GARDAI in Limerick have arrested a man in connection with the sale or supply of drugs after a foot chase in the city.
A post on the An Garda Siochana Limerick social media accounts this Sunday said a quantity of crack cocaine was seized.
“Gardaí attached to the Mayorstone Community Policing Unit, while on proactive beat patrol today, observed a male behaving suspiciously in the Historical Quarter area of Limerick City,” reads the post.

The man fled on foot but was apprehended by gardai.
“On searching the male, gardai found in his possession 22 deal bags of suspected crack cocaine with an estimated street value of over €700.
“The man was arrested at the scene and the suspected drugs seized. They will now be sent for analysis, which will determine the course of the investigation,” concludes the post on the An Garda Sochana Limerick social media pages.
