Man arrested as gardai continue probe into murder of Limerick man 15 years ago

GARDAÍ investigating the murder of Lee Slattery (25), whose body was discovered in the Delmege House estate near Moyross, Limerick, in May, 2010 have made a further arrest.

A male, aged in his 30s, was arrested on Tuesday as part of ongoing investigations and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a garda station in the southern region.

A female, aged in her 50s, detained on Monday under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 has been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

There are currently five prisoners in custody at garda stations in the southern region in relation to this investigation.

To date, 31 arrests have been made in connection with this investigation.

Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with information to contact them at the incident room in Mayorstone Park Garda Station at 061 456 980, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
