Gardaí investigate explosive device thrown at home in Limerick

GARDAÍ in Limerick are investigating an incident where an 'improvised explosive device' was thrown at a house in the city.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses where a home was targetted in the O'Malley Park estate, Limerick city on Monday, February 10, shortly before midnight.

"The incident occurred at approximately 11:30pm when the device was thrown at a domestic residence," gardaí have confirmed.

"No injuries have been reported at this time. Gardaí have conducted a technical examination of the scene."

Anyone who was in the O'Malley Park estate between 11pm and 11:45pm on Monday, February 10, is asked to contact the investigating gardaí in Roxboro on 061 214340. 

Anyone with mobile phone or dash cam footage is also asked to make that footage available.

Gardaí can also be contacted on the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
