GARDAÍ have issued an appeal for information following an incident where a firearm was discharged in the Ballinacurra Weston area of Limerick city.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 pm on Monday, January 6, on Hyde Avenue. No injuries were reported.
Gardaí "are particularly interested" in anyone who may have seen a blue hatchback car travelling in the area at the time towards Ashbourne Avenue.

A technical examination of the scene has been carried out and Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Hyde Avenue area between 6pm and 7pm and who may have information relating to the incident to contact them.
They are also requesting that persons with mobile phone or dash-cam footage make that footage available.
