THE THEFT of a car from a couple while enjoying a trip at a Limerick hotel is being investigated by gardaí.
A car was stolen from a couple who were staying in a house on the grounds of a hotel in Limerick, which prompted gardaí to caution the public that if “criminals see a car they want, they will do everything in their power to get the keys”.
The couple parked their car outside the accommodation and went to use the hotels facilities, when on their return, “they discovered the patio door was forced and the car keys and car was stolen”.

“Nothing else was taken or disturbed,” said Sergeant Ber Leetch, crime prevention officer at Henry St garda station.
“Protect your car keys, bring them with you or find a very clever place to hide them but always make sure that they cannot be seen through a window,” Sgt Leetch advised.
