Man accused of having pellet gun at Colbert Station apprehended by Limerick gardai

A man who was allegedly caught with a pellet gun outside Limerick's Colbert Station has been arrested and charged by gardaí.

In a statement, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí responded to reports of a male in possession of a firearm on Parnell Street, Limerick shortly after 4pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

"An intoxicated male in his 40s was apprehended by Gardaí at the scene and found with a pellet gun.

"He was taken to a garda station in Limerick and has since been charged with an alleged offence under the Public Order Act.

The spokesperson added: "He is due to appear before Limerick District Court next month."
