Boy, 17, killed in County Limerick road accident

A TEENAGER has died following a road accident in County Limerick this lunchtime.
It is understood that the 17-year-old was travelling on a quad bike which was in collision with a tractor and hedge cutting machinery.
The accident occurred at approximately 1.45pm outside the village of Oola near the turn-off for the Doon Road.
“The investigation is at the very early stages. The forensic collision investigation experts are on the way to the scene,” explained a garda spokesperson.
Traffic diversions are like to remain in place for a number of hours to facilitate a forensic examination of the scene of the accident.
The name of the youth, who is from East Limerick, has not been released.
